Abstract

How AI, Automation, and Business Transformation Are Redefining Cybersecurity Leadership

Artificial intelligence is reshaping cybersecurity from the ground up. Tasks once performed by entry- and mid-level professionals are increasingly being augmented or automated, changing how security teams operate, how talent develops, and how future cybersecurity leaders gain the experience necessary to lead. As AI moves beyond analysis and recommendations toward autonomous decision-making, a larger question emerges: What happens when that disruption reaches the CISO?

This interactive executive roundtable will explore whether AI will simply make cybersecurity leaders more effective—or fundamentally redefine the CISO role itself. Using real-time live polling, participants will anonymously respond to intentionally debatable questions about AI, leadership, accountability, resilience, trust, and the future scope of cybersecurity leadership. Poll results will be displayed live, allowing the room to see where executives align, where opinions sharply divide, and which issues demand deeper discussion.

Rather than searching for “correct” answers, the live polling will serve as a catalyst for candid peer-to-peer conversation. Participants will examine what AI can replace, what should remain fundamentally human, which responsibilities the future CISO should stop owning, and which new responsibilities—such as AI governance, digital trust, enterprise resilience, and business risk—the role may need to assume.

The discussion will ultimately confront a provocative leadership question: Are CISOs preparing their organizations for AI disruption while failing to prepare their own roles for that same disruption?

By combining anonymous live polling with executive dialogue, the session will create a real-time pulse of cybersecurity leadership perspectives and challenge participants to consider a larger question: Will the CISO of the future remain the organization's security leader, evolve into something greater—or become a role designed for a world that no longer exists?

Speaker Bio

Dr. Lovelie Moore is a cybersecurity executive, Business Information Security Officer (BISO), educator, author, speaker, and U.S. Navy veteran with more than 20 years of experience spanning cybersecurity, technology risk, and information security across public and private-sector organizations.

Her experience encompasses the full cybersecurity ecosystem, including cybersecurity governance, enterprise risk management, Third-Party Risk Management (TPRM), Identity and Access Management (IAM), Privileged Access Management (PAM), Vulnerability Management (VM), Security Operations (SOC), incident response, threat management, cloud security, data protection, security architecture, regulatory compliance, business continuity, cyber resilience, and emerging areas such as AI governance.

Currently serving as BISO at Toyota Financial Services, Dr. Moore works at the intersection of business, technology, and cybersecurity, helping leaders translate complex cyber risks into business-focused strategies, strengthen organizational resilience, and enable secure innovation. Throughout her career, she has held CISO and senior cybersecurity leadership roles, built and matured security programs, led multidisciplinary teams, and helped organizations strengthen their security and risk posture.

Dr. Moore holds a Doctor of Information Technology in Cybersecurity and Information Assurance and serves as an Adjunct Professor teaching cybersecurity and ethical hacking. She is also the author of My Vulnerabilities Are PATCHED, which connects cybersecurity principles with personal resilience, accountability, and growth.

A recognized speaker and cybersecurity thought leader, Dr. Moore brings a practical, business-centered perspective to conversations about cyber resilience, AI governance, security leadership, and the evolving role of cybersecurity executives.
