Legal Panelist Bio

Adriana Sanford, J.D., Dual LL.M., is a thought leader represented by the American Program Bureau and an international television commentator who served as a Senior Analyst for CNN en Español, reaching 90+ million viewers across the Americas. A former Fortune 10 regional counsel, she has delivered more than 150 keynote addresses to over 30,000 executives internationally on global compliance, governance, and risk, including at premier forums such as the Association of Corporate Counsel’s Super Conference in Chicago and ISACA’s Latin America Computer Audit Control and Security Conference in Mexico City.

Sanford also works with leading professional associations, think tanks, and global nonprofits on high-level discussions addressing ethics, corruption, and corporate responsibility, including with UTALCA/CIEPLAN in Chile, one of Latin America’s leading public policy think tanks. Her work has contributed to global policy discourse through the World Economic Forum’s Partnering Against Corruption Initiative and in her capacity as an APEC delegate in Chile. She is also a regular contributor to the International Enforcement Law Reporter on higher education compliance, privacy, and multijurisdictional challenges.

Over a decade, Sanford has taught 8,000+ students across MBA, Master of Science in Taxation (MS Tax), Master in Management (MiM), Master of Science in Management Information Technology (MS-MIT), LL.M., law, and undergraduate programs in bilingual settings in the U.S. and internationally. She currently serves as Vice Chair (Rule of Law) of the American Bar Association’s International Law Section Privacy, Cybersecurity, and Digital Rights Committee and as Vice Chair (International Programs) of the Section’s National Security Law Committee and teaches law courses at the University of Texas at Arlington’s College of Business. Her courses include Law I, Law II, Business Law, International Business Law, International Tax Law, and Cybersecurity/Privacy Law/AI Governance.

Sanford holds advanced law degrees from Georgetown Law and Notre Dame Law, including a dual LL.M. in Taxation and International and Comparative Law.  Her research focuses on global security challenges, multijurisdictional privacy law, and artificial Intelligence governance with particular emphasis on the legal, financial, and operational consequences of non-compliance.

Her contributions have been recognized through national and international honors, including being named a Top 20 Cyber Woman of the World and receiving the Cybersecurity Woman Law & Privacy Professional of the Year Award.
