Daniel is a hands on, results oriented senior information security professional with over 30 years experience in the Information Technology Industry. Daniel has worked in the education, e-commerce, financial, industrial materials, information security consulting, and

healthcare fields during his career. His Security Management and Operations, Policy and Compliance experience has helped shape his perspectives in creating and implementing Cybersecurity programs.

In his current role at Children’s Health Dallas, Daniel oversees the program development for the Cyber Risk Management and Identity Governance Teams. He is responsible for leading the healthcare systems information security strategy, which includes all ongoing activities related to the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of patient, employee, and business information in compliance with regulations, laws, and healthcare best practices. Daniel works with a talented group of individuals ensuring that CHST is Making Lives Better for Children.

Daniel is a member of HIMMS (Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society), AEHIS (Association for Executives in Healthcare Information Security) and enjoys mentoring up and coming security practitioners.
