Andy Ulrich is the Head of Security, North America, at Ericsson, with the responsibility for managing security challenges in both the physical and cyber worlds. He has been in this role for eight years, based in the Plano, TX headquarters.

Andy has been a cyber security leader for many years, with previous experience as the Chief Information Security Officer for MoneyGram, a Dallas-based money transfer company with a global footprint. He was responsible for protecting consumer data and the company’s financial assets, and especially with reducing theft of funds through hacking and social engineering. His team also worked closely with the internal financial intelligence unit to reduce consumer fraud. Andy was with MoneyGram for 3 years.

Andy previously served in the US Army for 24 years, with the last 6 years focused on information security.
