Dr. Abe Johnson is currently the senior vice president of Campus Operations at Collin College (College). Prior to his current appointment, he was the vice president/provost of the Frisco and Plano campuses, respectively. Dr. Johnson has been working full time with Collin College for over 19 years serving in various capacities as faculty, director, dean, and provost. He also has over 20 years in the healthcare sector in various positions, including several administrative-level positions.

Dr. Johnson has been instrumental in various innovative initiatives at Collin College, including hi-fidelity simulation for all health science programs. In addition, he is leading the implementation of Workday, the Enterprise Resource Program system for the College. He serves on various strategic committees at the college and the American Association of Community Colleges.

Dr. Johnson received his Associate of Applied Science degree from Houston Community College System, Bachelor of Arts from Spring Arbor University, Masters in Theology from Dallas Theological Seminary, and Doctor of Education from Texas Tech University.

Dr. Johnson is an avid reader particularly in theology and world history (second century Patristic history and world war history). His other hobbies and interests include watching movies, walking, and cooking. Dr. Johnson and his wife Binai have been married for over 35 years and they are blessed with three grown sons, two daughters-in-law, three wonderful grandsons, and a granddaughter.
